Muhammad Book

I think that the Muhammad book was very interesting and fun to make for many reasons. I think that the process didn’t take very long yet it took a lot of effort, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I think that the finished product came out well and had lots of detail. I think what I did well was that it was very colorful and it had nice drawings. Also I think that I did good summaries and they had the information needed. What I would change is maybe cutting down the summaries a few sentences, they could be a little shorter. Another thing that I would change is my neatness. I think that it was good in some parts but messy in some other parts. I think the influence that Muhammad gave off was pretty large. I think that many people looked up too him and looked to him for answers. I think that I personally learned more doing the project because I wrote and copied the summaries so many times that it imprinted on my brain and I could summarize each chapter without looking at the text. And with quizzes, I just sort of remembered it and then I forgot. But with the project I remembered a lot.

Magazine article on Tips on how to live in the Arabain Peninsula

Living in the Arabian Peninsula isn’t as easy as you think.  There’s so many things that you would have to remember depending on what type of environment you are staying in. If you were living in the Mountains such the Asir Mountains, wear warm clothing and have plenty of because of the very cold weather conditions, and rainy weather. Also since there arent  many resources on the mountain, use mud to build your house. If you were living in an Oasis, to prevent dehydration, dig a few wells to obtain water. Also Date Palms will also help you tremendously in food source, and you can use the parts of the tree to build your house. If you were living in the Coastal Plain, you could collect tree sap to use for perfumes, and medicines.  Finally, if you were living in the Desert, wear loose fitting gowns, light weight clothing, and a cotton headdress for protection from the wind, dust, heat and flies. Also have warm clothing for the night time because it can drop below freezing.  One more tip, I would bring a camel along on your journey, because they can be a source of food and milk, and they can travel very far distances without food or water! So good luck if and use these tips if you want to survive in the Arabian Peninsula.

Letter to Parents

Dear Mom and Dad,

For the first trimester in the 7th grade, i think that i did pretty well considering the big jump from 6th to 7th. I think i did well on my assingments that were given and put effort into them. But then again there are some things i could work on a little harder.  For example, I think that i could be studying more for tests and quizzes coming up. I’ve had that problem in the past and it has hurt my grade, but for the 2nd trimesterI’m going to work very hard on being prepared for tests and studying. Another example on something I can work on, is really fully paying attention in class. I think that its VERY important now from experiences that you never know when you are going to have a big test on something. The goals i have for the second trimester are that I’m going to study for every test i have, and really fully pay attention in class so i can really understand the subjects. The wisdom I have gained is that everything is important. Everything you learn in a certain class, has importance. So pay attention, because what you learn will come back in class. So I think from the knowledge i gained this trimester I will be successful in the second trimester.

The one school rule I dislike

There are lots of rules that I think are very appropriate and have good meaning,  but there is one that i really could do without. Its the “no tank top”rule.  I understand it, and i get it but i feel there are some ways it could be altered. I get that you don’t want us wearing tank tops around school, because there are many forms of the tank top, but i think that we could change it by making the tank top have to be 3 or 4 fingers. I think it would come in great handy during the very hot school days we have towards the summer and I think lots of students would appreciate it as well. But, since the rule is probably not going to get changed soon that we need to deal with it and we are just going to have to find something else to wear that fits the school dress code.
